In this, the second Beethoven movie, love is in the air and Beethoven finds Missy, another St. Bernard. But not all relationships are going well, Missy's owner and his wife, Regina, are getting a divorce and Regina has obtained a court order to gain custody of the Missy even though she hates dogs, and possibly everything else living. She plans to use Missy as leverage in the divorce to get everything else her husband has, plus everything he can borrow. When she learns that Missy has had puppies, she orders them destroyed, however the two youngest Newton children overhear the order and save the puppies. Unfortunately Regina learns that pure breed St. Bernard puppies are valuable and wants them back so she can sale them. Other subplots include Ryce's problem with one boyfriend, and finding another, and Ted even finds a girlfriend (with the help of the puppies and Beethoven). Then there is always George's reaction to having four more St. Bernard's in the house.
